Ciguatera poisoning is the world largest seafood poisoning affecting more than 50000 people annually. Ciguatoxins produced by toxic dinoflagellates are given as causative substances. They are accumulated mainly by the ecological chain from herbivorous fish to carnivorous fish. The toxic symptom is attributed to potent nerve toxin(dry ice sensation) and persists for several months. It is a giant caterpillar-shaped molecule with a *plicated polyether skeleton.
